State House Roundup Sue Ford

Dear Friend,

As the September 11th primary quickly approaches, the NHDP stands firm in our commitment to neutrality in Democratic primaries. That’s why before the primary, our organizing team will spend the weekend at a training session, preparing to elect Democrats up and down the ballot on November 6th.

Instead of canvassing or phone banking with the Coordinated Campaign that weekend, we are encouraging our volunteers to work for their candidate of choice between September 8-11th.

For your convenience we’ve listed the contact information for all candidates in the two major primaries below:

Gubernatorial Primary Candidates:

Supporter Housing

The NHDP is in full swing for our 2018 Coordinated Campaign! We are bringing on staff and volunteers to support our town and county committees to turn out the vote in November. We need your help finding places for them to stay. Whether it is for a week or through election day – any little bit helps. Please fill out THIS FORM if you are able to house a volunteer or staff member.

Take the #24HourNH Pledge!

We have only 10 weeks before the 2018 election. That means there are just 10 weeks left to knock doors, make calls, talk to our neighbors, and make a difference in the most important election of our lives.

We all know that this election will come down to just a handful of votes. If we are really committed to electing Democratic majorities in the State House, State Senate, and Executive Council, a Democratic governor, and keeping both congressional seats blue, each one of us needs to step up and get involved.

That’s why we’re asking YOU to commit 24 HOURS of volunteer time by Election Day and take the #24HourNH Pledge!

You can knock doors or make calls for three hours every week, or have two or three marathon days of action – it’s up to you!

All that matters is that you are talking to voters, supporting Democrats, and doing your part to make a difference in New Hampshire.

Click HERE and take the #24HourNH pledge!

Sununu Reality Check

Last week, Governor Sununu announced an executive action to deal with the fallout from the Wayfair v South Dakota decision, in which the Supreme Court ruled that other states can collect sales taxes on New Hampshire businesses for online sales to out-of-state buyers.

What’s Sununu’s big plan? It’s a website that explains the issue and offers no real help. There’s not much the state can do to deal with this without a law being passed in the legislature.

That’s why it would have been important for Governor Sununu to be in New Hampshire during the special legislative session he called to deal with this. Instead, he was raising money and meeting with corporate donors in Aspen, Colorado while the bill failed. Yet another reason to elect a new governor who will take the issues facing our state a little more seriously.

Follow Sununu Reality Check on TwitterFacebook, and check out our website (SununuRealityCheck.com) to get updates on how we’re holding Sununu accountable.
