Jenny Gomarlo, ways and Means
Tax structure changed from flat per once to 5% cultivator to 7% at retail (Marijuana). They re dealing with the senate version of the Wayfair decision. They want to protect the small business, so they are looking at the ramifications of this bill. They have been off for a week, and will start back next week.
John Boredenet– they have retained the red flag bill that Delmar presented to us, because it was not ready. They are going to re write this bill with a Law professor from UNH Law. Next week is crossover, so they will be working on senate bills.
REPORTS FROM TOWN CHAIRS-
Carol Leger From Swnazey They had their caucus two weeks ago. Carol will be chair, Miguel is vice chair, Mike Gomarlo is treasurer and Barbara Reed is the new secretary. They will meet again in May
Ellen Clements-Westmorland, committee remains the same.
Ann Goodrich- Bazan -Maureen Robinson is the secretary, all the rest are the same.
Heather Stockwell from Dublin- they had their caucus last Saturday. Had three reps present. Judy Knapp is secretary and Heather was re-elected to Chair

SECRETARY REPORT – Ann Heffernon, posted on web. Moving forward we will email the agenda in the body of the email announcing the meeting so that we do not have to print agendas and save paper and ink by doing so.

Spaghetti dinner on may 18th. Amy Klobucher is speaker. 40.00 for dinner, 40.00 for cocktail party. Mohammed explains how we got to this speaker and that we are not actively endorsing the Senator.

OLD BUSINESS- Mohamed updates us on the gentleman he has been supporting to help stay in the country after he was detained by ICE.
NEW BUSINESS-Reports from Presidential Primary Campaigns
Primary candidates representatives-
Amanda Knightly (aknightly@elizabethwarren.com, 860.519.4779) and Claire Cheramie (ccheramie@elizabethwarren.com, 504.495.7783). From Sen. Warren’s campaign. Amanda is working in Keene and Claire is Western NH Director. Amanda will be connecting with everyone and hoping to meet with as many people as possible.
Explanation of why they are both working for The Senator. She will be coming to visit the region soon. They will have an office in Keene.
Castro campaign-Lauren Reyes. Small team in NH He believes in reganizing everywhere. He will be in this area at the end of the month. They just rolled out his immigration policy today. He is a good Latino role model. Equality in housing and equal rights. Secretary of Hosing and urban development. Lowered veteran hopelessness by 30%. (lauren@julianforthefuture.com, 910.620.3157)
Next meeting will be the county caucus and will be held at the library in the auditorium. The state party will moderate the election and all voters will verified as Democrats.
