State House Roundup Sue Ford

Dear Friend,

Thank you to everyone who came out to the NHDP’s State Convention this Saturday! It was inspiring to see so many excited Democrats come together to hear from Senator Hassan, Congresswoman Shea-Porter, our legislative leaders, gubernatorial candidates, congressional candidates and to overwhelmingly adopt the Party Platform on a voice vote.

This event showed that Democrats are united and ready to put in the work to win big in November. This was also reaffirmed later that day at the candidate training and on Sunday at the activist training.

But now that we have the tools to lead us to victory, it’s time to get to work! We’re having our first Day of Action this Saturday and we need your help to make it a success! Check out the Day of Action section below to learn more.

Please continue to use this regular newsletter as a tool for your local committee meetings or as a supplement to your own regular newsletter.

As always, don’t hesitate to reach out to us with any questions you may have.

Best,

NH Coordinated Campaign Day of Action

Join us this Saturday, June 30th, for our first Day of Action!

Election season has officially begun and Democrats are ready to put in the work to win back control of the State House, State Senate, Executive Council, governorship and to keep both congressional seats blue!

Join us to knock doors across the state to talk to neighbors about your local Democratic candidates.

Help us ensure a strong start to the Coordinated Campaign and show that the momentum that propelled us to 9 special election wins and sweeps of the municipal elections and Town Meeting Day has only gotten stronger in the run-up to November.

Upcoming Events

Immigration Rallies

There are currently 2,300 children who were separated from their families at the border and Trump and his Administration has done nothing to reunite them. Instead he is continuing to jail and lock up anyone who seeks to enter the border. Join our partners on June 30th to send a clear message to Trump and Republicans in Congress: Families belong together.

There will be marches across the state of New Hampshire. To find an event near you click HERE.

Nashua Pride Festival

Nashua Pride Festival is a celebration of diversity, acceptance, music and fun focused on promoting equality and inclusion of all people. Join our partners on June 30th from 2 – 5 PM for a full day of activities and entertainment. Events will include: Pride Parade, speakers, drag show, doggie drag show, and much more!

To RSVP click HERE.

*Be sure to take into account when these events are taking place so you can still Canvass in the morning of the afternoon!

Join the NH Coordinated Campaign!

The Coordinated Campaign is ramping up as we work to bring Democratic control back to the State House, Senate, Executive Council, and governorship and keep control of both congressional seats but we need your help!

We’re looking for excited and engaged Democrats to apply to be Organizers and Fellows for the Coordinated Campaign.

If you or anyone you know is interested in applying or learning more about either position, fill out this Organizer Application Form or this Fellow Application Form to get involved!

Supporter Housing

The NHDP is gearing up for our 2018 Coordinated Campaign! We are bringing on staff and volunteers to support our Town and County committees to turn out the vote in November. We need your help finding places for them to stay. Whether it is for a week or through election day – any little bit helps. Please fill out THIS FORM if you are able to house a volunteer or staff member.

Sununu Reality Check

Last week, Governor Sununu went on the Howie Carr show – the same show where he lied about voter fraud with his infamous “they’re busing them in all over the place” remark in 2016 – and allowed Carr to perpetuate his voter fraud lie.

HB 1264, the modern day poll tax, hasn’t changed since the days when Sununu said he hated it and that it was “nothing he could support,” but his position on the bill has changed drastically. Sununu told Carr that if HB 1264 is ruled constitutional but the state Supreme Court, he would sign it with “great confidence.”

Take a moment to call Governor Sununu’s office and ask him to keep his word by vetoing HB 1264: 271-2121

Follow Sununu Reality Check on TwitterFacebook, and check out our website (SununuRealityCheck.com) to get updates on how we’re holding Sununu accountable.
